Al Mendelsohn brings over 30 years of experience in life and health insurance to Abrams/Mendelsohn Insurance. His goals are to continue the agency’s tradition that goes back to 1948 of helping to protect families from the financial devastation that comes from sickness, disability, and death. Insurance can also help families meet their goals of creating and preserving wealth and having a secure retirement

Al is accredited for life, health, and long-term care insurance, college financial planning and annuities. His experience has led him to become very knowledgeable about retirement planning and annuities.

Al has a core value that guides him professionally and personally, which is to always be clear and honest. This is reflected by how he works with his clients. Al consults with people to develop strategies designed for each individual’s needs and enables his clients to make informed and educated decisions. He takes pride in establishing a close relationship and maintaining regular communication with his clients.

Al and his wife Nancy have been married 33 years. They are the proud parents of two adult children. Al and Nancy reside in Reisterstown and are active in the community. Al truly understands how important family is and understands your desire to protect yours. Al is a graduate of Towson State University and also attended the University of Maryland. Al took over the family agency in 2002 and has built on the tradition of being involved in all parts of a family’s financial life from birth to school, through retirement and to death. Al believes that it his job and his responsibility to not only sell policies but also help clients understand what they need and explains why the policy that he suggests is the appropriate policy for their situation.
